Happy New Year! Ballet Afrikana is excited to begin anew and welcome new and returning faces to House of Shu Wellness Center. The House of Shu is the name we've adopted as the home for Ballet Afrikana. If you have not had an opportunity to take a class and see the space, we invite to "come on down."
This year Ballet Afrikana will be celebrating three years! We are super excited to hit this milestone and even more excited to continue to grow. Ballet Afrikana is an extended family that encourages cultural and identity development. We hope all of our students are enriched from their experiences with us.
Hopefully, you have heard; we are featuring AfroBeat with Niema Atkins! This is a mixed-aged class that meets on Wednesdays for one hour. You are more than welcome to drop by for any class. In addition, the owners of Buttercream & Things and IE Designs will be joining forces with Ballet Afrikana! We are excited about this. Visitors to House of Shu will be able to indulge in purchasing velvety smooth body butter as well as partake in Reki treatments. This is super exciting!
As we approach Spring weather, Ballet Afrikana is interested in taking a trip to New York City to view performances by Dance Theatre of Harlem. The students are super excited to indulge in this endeavor. If you would like to travel with us, send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to your presence in class. Have a Happy New Year!
