Open Classes for Adults

Our open classes give families and friends of Ballet Afrikana opportunities to play and explore. Feel free to drop-in for any class open for the term or academic year. We would love to see you. 


A Class Pass gives you access to attend any class whenever you would like. A Class Pass is 3-Class Pass for $35 or a 6-Class Pass for $70--the card holder can attend sessions at the House of Shu Wellness Center. This pass works for all adult classes.  

AfroBeat House Party

Wednesdays | 7:30pm to 8:30pm

Class Meets: Every Wednesday

Invigorating dance workout for the persons 18 and older. Movement combines Afrikan and American Hip Hop dance styles. Come out wearing your comfortable workout clothing; fun and eccentric; come ready to party!

Ballet Fit

Mondays | 7:45pm to 8:45pm

Class Meets: Every Monday

A classical ballet class with barre and center floor movement. This is an adult class for all dance levels. Please register for the class by clicking the link below.

Rhythm 'n Soul

Thursdays | 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Classes will run through April 2020

Class Meets: Every Thursday

A tap dance class for beginners who have an appreciation for rhythmic, yet soulful sounds of tap dancing. You will need tap shoes for this class.

Soul Yoga

Saturdays | 7:30am to 8:30am

Class Meets: Select Saturdays

A healing yoga system that creates alignment of the spinal column and corrects defects in the skeletal muscular system in order to relieve stress, increase blood circulation, nutrient and oxygen supply to vital body system and allow internal life force energy and cerebral spinal fluid to flow more efficiently and abundantly throughout the entire body.
