Kemetic Yoga

Class Description:

Kemetic Yoga™ is the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) system of Yoga enlightenment based upon the practices of physical movements combined with controlled deep breathing and meditation. The modern version of this ancient system was developed from primary research conducted by Dr. Asar Hapi and Master Teacher Yirser Ra Hotep (Elvrid Lawrence) of Chicago during the 1970s. 

 

Kemetic Yoga™ is a healing and regenerative Yoga system that is characterized by a series of geometrically progressive postures that creates alignment of the spinal column and corrects defects in the skeletal muscular system in order to relieve stress, increase blood circulation, nutrient and oxygen supply to vital body systems, and to allow internal life force energy and cerebral spinal fluid to flow more efficiently and abundantly throughout the entire body.

18 and older

Class Meets:

Thursdays, once a week

Time of Class:

6:00pm to 7:30pm, 90 minutes

 

Academic Sessions for Class:

Classes are designed to meet three times during an academic school year. Our academic school year is sectioned into groups of 11 to 13 weeks. Please see the school calendar for additional details.

Fall Session/Term:

September 14 to December 14; 12 weeks

Winter Session/Term:

January 4 to March 29; 12 weeks

Spring & Summer Session/Term: 

April 12 to June 21; 12 weeks 

July Schedule:

Details will be posted soon. The month of August is a recess month for Ballet Afrikana.

24 students per class

Class Tuition:

The class fee is $15 per class or $144 for the session/term. Class passes are accepted for this class; 3-Class Pass is $35 and a 6-Class Pass is $70.
