Ballet Afrikana is a culturally-centered dance preparatory academy focused on identity development and the fundamentals of movement. Through arts education, students not only explore dance, but also become empowered to learn and embrace their heritage leading to: heightened self esteem, creativity, discipline and the tenacity to achieve.
Based upon the recent novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Ballet Afrikana is suspending classes and programs at the House of Shu Wellness Center until further notice. We are closely monitoring the situation globally.
As always, we encourage you to resist succumbing to panic and misinformation. We also reject the use of the coronavirus as a tool of racism and xenophobia. We recommend following the reports from the World Health Organization and the New York State Department of Health for up-to-date information.
Thank you so much,
Ashley and Lomax Campbell
